Create a One-of-a-Kind Coastal Shadowbox Inspired by the Shoreline
Join acclaimed Florida artist, educator, and conservationist Linda Soderquist for a hands-on creative workshop inspired by the small wonders of Manasota Beach Club’s Gulf shoreline.
This unique shadowbox workshop begins with a guided beach walk, where participants will observe and collect natural treasures from the surf and wrack line. These beach finds, including shells and coastal fragments, will become the focal point of your finished piece.
Following the walk, Linda will guide participants through watercolor techniques and collage methods used to create a dimensional shadowbox artwork that captures the quiet beauty of the seashore. Participants are also welcome to bring favorite shells or meaningful beach finds from home to incorporate into their piece.
Linda’s work is deeply rooted in her decades of conservation and environmental education in Southwest Florida. As a Florida Master Naturalist, longtime sea turtle permit holder, and award-winning watercolor artist, she brings a lifelong connection to the coastal environment and a passion for sharing its beauty through art to her workshops.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike. Guests will leave with a completed shadowbox artwork and a deeper appreciation for the coastal landscape that inspired it.
Enjoy wine, charcuterie, and community after the workshop.
Space is limited. Tickets are required.
