The Art of the Shoreline is Manasota Beach Club’s Artist-in-Residence program, celebrating creativity, environmental connection, and the quiet beauty of coastal life through a rotating series of hands-on workshops led by Florida artists and makers.
Inspired by the shoreline, native landscapes, and coastal habitats of Manasota Key, each experience invites guests to slow down, observe, create, and connect with the natural world. Workshops explore a variety of mediums and seasonal themes, from watercolor and nature-inspired art to resin pieces incorporating elements of the coast.
Designed for all experience levels, each workshop combines guided instruction, creative exploration, and a deeper appreciation for the plants, wildlife, and ecosystems that make Florida’s Gulf Coast unique.
More than art classes, these gatherings create space for curiosity, conversation, and connection, with something meaningful to take home and a fresh perspective on the coast itself.
Space is intentionally limited to create a relaxed, personal, and inspiring experience.
Meet Linda Soderquist
Linda Soderquist’s work is shaped by decades of observing, protecting, and interpreting Florida’s natural environment.
After beginning her career in education and earning degrees in Fine Arts, Elementary Education, and Mathematics, Linda turned her focus to art and conservation following retirement. A Florida Master Naturalist, longtime sea turtle permit holder, shorebird monitor, educator, and award-winning watercolor artist, Linda brings a rare combination of artistic talent and environmental stewardship to her work.
Her paintings are deeply informed by years spent documenting Florida wildlife, studying coastal ecosystems, and mentoring future generations through conservation and environmental education.
Through her Artist-in-Residence partnership with Manasota Beach Club, Linda invites guests to slow down, observe more closely, and discover the stories hidden within the natural world.

Meet Danielle Jo Ferrantino
Resin Artist | Naturalist | Founder of Driftheory
Danielle Jo Ferrantino is a Florida-based resin artist inspired by the natural beauty and treasures found along our coastlines.
Since 2017, Danielle has created one-of-a-kind resin jewelry and art using hand-gathered elements including wildflowers, sand, and seashells from Florida’s Gulf Coast and beyond. Each piece preserves a moment in nature and turns it into a lasting keepsake.
Through Driftheory, Danielle encourages others to reconnect with the natural world and the places that hold special meaning.
Through her partnership with Manasota Beach Club, she invites guests to turn coastal inspiration into handcrafted pieces that capture a little piece of Manasota Key.
